Manufacturing Overview at ATAD

With a skilled workforce exceeding 1,700 professionals and a state-of-the-art factory spanning 211,000 m², ATAD is a leader in the Manufacturing of steel structures. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge automatic production technology, enabling us to produce 12,000 MT/month of steel structures, 800 MT/month of cold-formed members, and 360,000 m²/month of steel panels. We uphold rigorous quality standards through our ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, ensuring our clients receive optimal solutions and high-quality products for their projects.

Manufacturing Process

Our Manufacturing process consists of three main stages, each dedicated to creating essential components of our steel structures:

  1. Primary Members (Columns and Beams)
  2. Secondary Members (Purlins, Doors)
  3. Sheets (Roof Sheets, Wall Cladding, Flashing)

Primary Members

1. Cutting:

Utilizing advanced CNC automatic multi-head cutting machines, we can cut Steel plates into any desired shape and size, with thicknesses reaching up to 80mm. Our equipment includes:

  • CNC automatic cutting machines
  • Mechanical cutting machines (able to cut plates up to 20mm and 16mm in thickness)

2. Hole Punching:

Post-cutting, holes are drilled or punched as per specifications using an automatic laminating machine. Equipment consists of:

  • Drilling machines
  • Hole-punching machines (3 units)

3. Assembling:

Steel plates are assembled into I-section components with the help of automatic assembling machines.

4. Welding:

Components are welded using submerged arc welds, ensuring high-quality, strong, and sealed connections. Our welding process complies with the latest standards from the Vietnamese Technique Manual Book. Equipment includes:

  • 10 automatic welding machines
  • 100 hand welding machines

5. Surface Cleaning:

Built-up Steel plates and welds are cleaned either physically or by sand-spraying machines, depending on client preferences. Available equipment:

  • Automatic shot-blasting machines
  • Grinders (10 units)

6. Painting:

Utilizing high-pressure industrial painting machines based on American technology, components receive a grey or red paint coating, or a custom finish as specified by clients. Equipment includes:

  • High-pressure paint spraying machines
  • Grinders (5 units)

Secondary Members

1. Forming:

Secondary components, including purlins and girts, are produced from zinc-coated or black-coated cold-rolled steel sheets in compliance with ASTM standards. The roll forming process produces smooth, high-quality “Z” or “C” shapes, with thicknesses ranging from 1.5mm to 2.5mm.

  • Machines: Purlin Rolling Machine, C Purlin Forming Machine, Z Purlin Forming Machine

2. Hole Punching:

Purlins and girts can be provided plain or pre-punched according to specifications.

3. Painting:

Just like our primary members, secondary components receive high-pressure painting using advanced technology, ensuring a quality finish in various colors.

C Panels

All steel panels are rolled from high-quality zincalume-coated cold-rolled steel, complete with undercoat painting that meets ASTM specifications. The production utilizes the Purlin Rolling Machine for optimal efficiency.

At ATAD, we are committed to delivering high-quality Manufacturing processes and products tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Our professional workforce, advanced technologies, and stringent quality management systems ensure that every project meets the highest standards of excellence.

No matter where your steel projects are located—be it Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, or anywhere in Australia—ATAD Steel Structure is always here to help you.
